Identity, network, language and independence are keywords in attracting accompanying spouses and partners to Aarhus.
Aarhus University and Business Region Aarhus have made an agreement aiming to find jobs for accompanying spouses and partners. Aarhus University will take part in research projects that create new knowledge about regional growth and development. In return, the 12 municipalities are obliged to find relevant jobs for the researchers' accompanying spouses and partners.
Typically, the jobs offered to international spouses will have a six to 12-month duration, and the agreement covers approximately 30 positions a year.
"We would really like researchers to join us and do their research in Aarhus, and we would also like to be able to retain them.
Aarhus University is one of the world’s top 100 universities, and we want to continue to be so. Preferably with an even higher position on the ranking scale than today.
But for this to happen, we have to be able to attract and retain the very best researchers wherever in the world they might be."Dean at Aarhus BSS Thomas Pallesen on the agreement between Aarhus University and Business Region Aarhus.
