Study environment and student life

The teaching at Aarhus BSS takes place at four locations which are the beautiful University Park in central Aarhus, the Nobel park, the classic buildings at Fuglesangs Allé next to Vestre Ringgade and the thriving Birk Centerpark in Herning in central Jutland.

Numerous opportunities

There are countless opportunities for students to involve themselves in activities relating both to their studies and the social life at the school and the rest of the university. For example, we offer an extensive and flexible range of optional subjects, internships, Summer University courses and numerous opportunities for exchange stays all over the world.

Diverse extra-curricular activities

Aarhus BSS is also characterised by its diverse and popular clubs, societies and associations, enabling students to pursue a variety of academic, political and social interests. Academic interests can be nourished by attending talks and academic events, while students can hear more about what the different student associations have to offer at the departments. Social life at the university thrives at the many Friday bars, student parties and at the annual Spring Regatta.

International focus

As a student at Aarhus BSS, you are part of an international study environment. Last year, Aarhus University as a whole had 1,900 international students, many of them enrolled on full degree programmes. Many different languages can therefore be heard as you move around the various campuses.

Interdepartmental collaboration

Deciding to study at Aarhus BSS gives you the opportunity to choose subjects from across the entire school, and in the long term also from among all the degree programmes offered at Aarhus University. We are constantly striving to expand the number and quality of the options available to our students, thereby making it possible for them to combine a strong and clear educational profile with exciting subjects from other academic fields. Providing students with the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow students from other closely related disciplines will enrich and enhance their skills and ability to adapt to any marketplace, to view and understand the world from a broad perspective and to be resourceful enough to change with the times.
