Leveraging a big dataset of 1,347,854 clickstream sessions, we will in this presentation extract parameters to understand customers’ search goals, strategies, and decision-making. Through the application of advanced unsupervised algorithms, we both empirically demonstrate and theoretically validate the existence of three distinct decision-maker profiles: satisficers, maximizers, and deliberative maximizers.

We also relate customer entry channels and movement patterns to decision styles, providing insights into how different e-commerce strategies affect these three profiles, offering practical insights for e-commerce strategies.

Ana Alina Tudoran, associate professor from the Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus BSS, will share her knowledge in the field on 22 November 2023 at 8.30-9.15. You can attend the event online via Zoom or in-person at Aarhus BSS, Fuglesangs Allé 4, 8210 Aarhus V.

The presentation will be in English.
