The total number of applications to Aarhus BSS has increased by almost 13 per cent compared to 2015. This means that Aarhus BSS has the highest percentage increase compared to the rest of Aarhus University. In addition, the number of first priority applications has increased by 9 per cent. This is revealed by the preliminary application figures, which the university has just received.

The Vice-dean for Education at Aarhus BSS Per Andersen states:

“We are very pleased with the positive figures. They reveal that either there is an increase in the number of applications, or we maintain the excellent numbers from last year where many of our degree programmes saw an extraordinarily high number of applicants.”

Increase caused by quality and demand

Per Andersen believes that the significant increase in the number of applications shows that Aarhus BSS offers high-quality degree programmes that are prominent in the minds of young people and that are in demand in society.

“With these figures, we stand out as one of Denmark’s strongest providers of degree programmes in business and social science disciplines. In the coming years, we will naturally continue to work on meeting the expectations of our many applicants and at the same time, we will become even better at providing degree programmes that are in demand,” says Per Andersen.

Aarhus BSS expects the final application figures to be ready at the end of the week.

On 30 July, all applicants will be informed of whether or not they have been admitted.
