Study programmes
School of Business and Social Sciences is one of the largest business schools in Europe with approx. 14,000 full-time students, several thousand part-time students, 225 PhD students and about 500 researchers.
We offer a unique range of research-based study programmes tailored to the needs of both the public and private sectors at the highest international level. Our study programmes cover the fields of law, economics and finance, business administration, organisation, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, business communication and language, translation, political science, including public administration, and psychology.
Our study programmes are created in close collaboration with the business community and the public-sector. Programme-specific employer panels have been established for each of our programmes in order to facilitate a systematic dialogue between the programme management and the stakeholders in private and public sectors. The input from the programme-specific employer panels is crucial for the further development and quality assurance of our programmes.
Annual occupational surveys show that graduates from School of Business and Social Sciences match the needs of prospective employers extremely well. They are educated for both domestic and international job markets and capable of occupying positions as managers and specialists in public as well as private organisations.
At School of Business and Social Sciences, we are constantly endeavouring to develop the choices available to our students. Today, an extensive and flexible range of optional subjects is offered across the entire school as well as internships, Summer University courses and numerous opportunities for exchange stays all over the world. In the long term, students will have the opportunity to combine their studies at the school with subjects from other main academic areas at Aarhus University. Teaching our students to examine information from different perspectives to find creative solutions to the world’s challenges, and providing them with the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow students from other closely related disciplines will enrich and enhance their skills and ability to adapt to any marketplace, to view and understand the world broadly and to be resourceful enough to change with the times, equipping them to become future leaders and specialists.
