Commencement of studies in spring 2022
This course covers topics within organisation theory and behaviour, human resource management and management of change, which corresponds to AMBA criteria 3, 4, 8 and 10.
Very often, organisations pronounce employees to be their most important resource. Although this statement reflects findings from scientific studies showing that the behaviour and cognition of people in organisations can influence many corporate parameters and outcomes, the question remains, how –specifically – organisations can create value through the human element. This class will therefore focus on insights of understanding, accommodating, and steering the behaviour of employees in organisations. Furthermore, the class will emphasise how organisations can use this knowledge to set up people management structures and practices that can create lasting competitive advantages for a company.
