The programme 2020

Courses 2020

Students attending Aarhus BSS Winter School in 2020 can choose to attend one of four courses:  

Minor changes to the courses descriptions may occur. 

Each course is worth a total of 10 ECTS and consists of a mixture of both lectures, classroom workshops, discussions and exercises. In addition to attending lectures and other classroom activities students are expected to prepare according to their instructors guidelines - both prior to arrival and during the program. 

Social programme 2020

During the programme a number of social activities and events are planned to give students a taste of the local as well as European culture and history in general. This includes tours of the city and campus and well as social activities. A detailed programme will be available in December 2019.  

Information about Exams 2020

The exam in each course consists of two parts: A written exam on-site on the last day of the course and a take home assignment due approximately 6 weeks after the course has finished. The re-exam consists of a take-home assignment only. Detailed information about the exam can be found under each course in the AU Course Catalogue.  

Written on-site exam: January 17, 2020

  • Climate law – international and EU law in context (rooms tbc)
  • Danish and European Business in a Global Perspective rooms tbc)
  • Branding and Advertising in Complex Markets (rooms tbc)
  • Behavioral Economics: The psychology of decision making (rooms tbc) 

Take home assignment: Date to be confirmed

The take-home assignment (WHAI) for all three courses is due in late February or early March 2020 (tbc)

Students who fail the ordinary exams have the option to sign up for the re-exam. You can sign up by sending an email to Katrine Rosenbeck at The deadline to sign up is: tbc

Please note that if you wish to make a formal complaint this must be done within 2 weeks of receiving the grade on Self Service. 

Results and Transcript of Records

Within four weeks of the final exam taking place, students will receive a Transcript of Records. Transcripts will be sent to both the student and the home university via email.

Each student is evaluated individually and graded according to the Danish Grading System
