Practical information

Residence permit
As an international student, you need to apply for a residence permit (non EU students) or certificate (EU/EEA students) for your right to reside in Denmark.

We encourage you to check the Danish government website www.newtodenmark.dk to see if there are any special requirements for applicants from your country.

When do you start?
You are expected to begin your stay in Aarhus in the end of August. At this time, we will host an orientation for all new students where all important practical, academic and social issues are introduced to you.

Accommodation
You can find information about housing options here: www.au.dk/en/internationalcentre/housing/

Tuition fees
Tuition is free for students with citizenship from the EU/EAA/Nordic countries. Fees are 8,500 € for bachelor programmes and 10,000 € for master programmes per year. Fees are subject to change.
