This module gives students the theoretical and practical skills needed to successfully apply and manage the concept of enterprise architecture in their respective companies.
Enterprise architecture is one of the most advanced management tools for tackling complex and unknown competitive challenges on a global scale, and the concept allows companies to make optimal use of their current IT systems and initiate future business processes at the highest competitive level. This is an extremely complex task, which the company management should take very seriously.
Modern application of enterprise architecture requires specific knowledge if a company is to identify, design and manage its core competences, supply and application of service. The goal is to create a basis for both local efficiency and global flexibility. An effective and extensive use of enterprise architecture requires an upgrading of technical systems (IT architecture, infrastructure and applications) and of business and technical qualifications among the employees, as well as a change in the decision structure and culture of the company.
