It has been the standard in COBE Lab to require that all researchers completed the NIH ethics course and submitted the course certificate to us. Unfortunately, this free online course is shutting down on September 27th. Copies of certificates will also no longer be available from the site. Our procedure at COBE Lab has been to save copies of all certificates, but we cannot guarantee that we can provide your certificate if you request it. We therefore recommend you download your certificate while the site is up, if you haven't yet.

We are working on a permanent solution, but the proces may take a while, as we were only notified of the course shutting down last week. If you are in need of an ethics course at this moment, or know of someone who would benefit from completing the course, we urge you to take this opportunity to do so for free.
