Masterclass in presentation/performance technique

Strengthen your impact

NB: This masterclass is taught in Danish.

Purpose

The purpose of this masterclass is to rehearse and strengthen your impact as a teacher and communicator. The content matter is at the heart of your presentation, but the form, the reasoning, the responsiveness, and your personal performance are the means to make an impact.

After the course, you will have improved your ability to capture your target audience, strengthen your credibility, pitch your points and create rewarding relationships. Based on individual feedback during the materclass, you will also have obtained tools to work on your performance independently. Both as a speaker and a teacher.

Participants

Experienced teachers and researchers who would like to have a "service inspection" of their role as communicator/speaker and get new tools to communicate in a clear, vibrant, and not least unforgettable way.

Masterclass and individual coaching

Based on individual wishes, needs, and challenges when presenting, an individual training programme is established for each participant. It will take place as one-on-one coaching sessions between teacher and participant. In addition to this intensive training program, the course alternates between presentations, group work, hands-on exercises, participant presentations and personal feedback.

The programme includes the following:

  • the mapping of your personal communication profile (capabilities and development points)
  • tools for you to be able to work on your own performance
  • increased impact of your presentations
  • experience pitching your own product/content
  • insight into the effective use of slides
  • time-saving tools for structuring content
  • tools to analyse your target audience
  • tools to maintain and activate your audience
  • tools to analyse the communicative event
  • tools to combat your nervousness.

Day 2: 29 October, 2019

Individual coaching

Each participant is allocated 45 minutes for individual communication sparring. Prior to this, the participant will be asked to send 5-6 lines about his or her greatest challenges in oral communication to the teacher. In addition, the participant must have prepared a mini-presentation of 4-5 minutes on which the coaching is based.
