Associate Professorship(s) in Business at Department of Business Development and Technology, Aarhus BSS 939975

The Department of Business Development and Technology at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for associate professorship positions in the following fields:
•Advanced business economics (e.g. management accounting, financial accounting, cost management, economic analysis)
•International business strategy (e.g. strategic management, international business, strategy implementation)
•Advanced marketing management (e.g. international marketing, quantitative marketing management, digital marketing) 
•Business intelligence (e.g. analytics for decision making, predictive and prescriptive analytic models, big data)

An associate professorship is a full-time and permanent position starting on 1 August 2018 or as agreed upon.
 
Job description
The successful applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the department’s research and teaching environment. At the department, there is a strong focus on research collaborations with business and society, and the applicant is expected to take an active role in these activities. Applicants with research activities involving businesses and society will be preferred. 

The applicant is expected to teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level. Our teaching programs include a MSc in International Business Developmentand a Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration

The applicant is expected to conduct research of the highest international standard, which contributes to developing the academic field.

Qualification requirements
Applicants must possess and document significant research qualifications and teaching skills corresponding to those obtained after successful completion of an assistant professorship, but equivalent academic qualifications may also be acceptable. 
 
Applicants are requested to provide measures of research output according to the Danish Bibliometric Research Indicator (i.e. level 1 and 2). Other measures of research production and quality such as an H-score, citation-index etc. from a recognized source may also be stated.
 
Applicants are encouraged to describe how their research is linked to businesses and society. This description could describe concrete collaborations, impact, dissemination activities etc. 
 
Permanent employment as associate professor at Aarhus BSS requires completion of the supervision course and also the course Blended Learning – Go Online provided by Centre for Teaching and Learning at Aarhus BSS. If the candidate has not completed the courses before commencement of employment, continued employment will be conditional on completion of the courses within a five year period.
 
Who we are
The Department of Business Development and Technology is a satellite department of Aarhus University located in Herning. The department excels in business and engineering disciplines and pays particular attention to collaborations with business and society. The department has around 1,700 students. The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State .

In the event of several authors the publications must be accompanied by a co-author statement concerning the applicant's share of the collaborative work with the consent of the co-authors.
