The programme:

The PhD programme in Business Communication is part of Aarhus BSS Graduate School.

The graduate school holds the distinguished AACSB and EQUIS accreditations and encompasses a wide range of academic disciplines, outstanding research environments, and strong degree programmes.

The PhD programme encompasses, but is not necessarily limited to, such fields of study as:

  • management communication
  • strategic communication
  • organizational communication
  • marketing communication
  • HR communication
  • branding
  • PR communication
  • financial communication
  • crisis communication
  • change communication
  • stakeholder communication
  • CSR communication
  • organizational knowledge communication
  • - and related areas.

National and international cooperation:

The PhD Programme in Business Communication offers doctoral seminars within all of the academic areas mentioned above. Some of these seminars are developed in collaboration with prominent national and international academic research institutions, e.g. Aalborg University, University of Central Florida, and Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR).

Employment after graduation:

Previously, the majority of candidates from the PhD programme in Business Communication continued their career within academia after graduation. Now, however, most candidates find employment in the private and/or public sector in and/or outside Denmark.
