A seal of approval and a level higher
Aarhus BSS has been awarded a new five-year AMBA accreditation for our MBA degree programme. A seal of approval which confirms that Aarhus BSS’ continuing education programme meets the high international standards.
We were pleased when we received the message from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in November. Not only had our former three-year accreditation of our MBA degree programme been renewed. Now we had been awarded the five-year accreditation. The highest accreditation you can achieve.
The AMBA accreditation is in itself an important seal of approval which reflects that in terms of its MBA degree programme, Aarhus BSS is part of an exclusive group of educational institutions that comprises the top two per cent of business schools in more than 70 countries.
Although the seal of approval only covers the MBA degree programme, all of our other executive Master’s degree programmes - such as our MBA counterpart for public managers, the Flexible Master of Public Governance, which is offered in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, are based on the same principle as the MBA: Research-based teaching. For this reason, we have launched a new slogan for our entire continuing education portfolio which we call “A level higher.”
We do not claim that you cannot find good continuing education offers elsewhere. There are many other providers of courses and programmes in Denmark.
But we do claim that we can deliver something most other providers cannot. We can deliver at a level higher since teaching at Aarhus BSS – on any of our programmes - is as a rule research-based.
Research-based teaching may sound very theoretical, but if you are taught by an active researcher, it means that the topic you are taught is based on the very latest knowledge within the field.
After all, sometimes there is no right or wrong answer. Often, research-based teaching is about giving the best possible answer based on what we know from the latest research.
Naturally, the fact that we are not alone in believing that we deliver at a high level is very important. Not just to us. But hopefully in particular to those of you who are currently enrolled in a continuing education programme at Aarhus BSS. And we have room for more, so feel free to join us!
