The study and use of eye-movements is becoming ubiquitous in an array of domains, both in- and outside academia. Researchers in psychology and vision science use eye-tracking technology to inform us about perception, social interaction, decision making, attention in drivers, language processing .. the list of studies is almost endless. Likewise, with the growing accessibility and ease of use of many modern eye tracking systems, businesses, marketers, ergonomists, sport scientists, as well as medical practitioners, are making use of eye-movement recordings to help understand and improve awareness. But with so many available systems and settings, as well as options for analysing eye-movements, how are we to make sense of what is finally reported in papers, and what goes on to be applied in the 'real world'?

With this bootcamp we will help novices as well as established experimentalists understand the signal processing behind eye movement data, how this data can be analysed and interpreted in different ways, and the possibilities and potential pitfalls of its application.

We are lucky enough to have the following well known and highly productive experts at the forefront of eye movements research as speakers for this event:

Overview

The bootcamp is open to all and the talks will allow plenty of time for discussion, as well as some hands-on group work. The best way to get to grips with new techniques (or learn more about techniques you have used or read about before), is to feel free to ask questions, and get a feel for the systems with examples. To assist with the organisation of this we kindly ask you to register here.
