Digital innovations are challenging traditional business models across all industries. Digital innovations are often disruptive, fast paced and radical. To compete in such an environment, organisations have to develop digital capabilities.
Digital capabilities are important in the whole organisation, and not only within IT departments. They affect an organisation’s ability to both react to and drive market change by means of digital innovation. They help organisations to spot and exploit technological opportunities at the right time.
In this talk, Nikolaus Obwegeser from Aarhus BSS looks at digital capabilities from both an academic and practitioner perspective and discusses how organisations can actively develop and manage their digital capabilities.
